My stay at Planters Inn was a mix of charming Southern hospitality and some frustrating shortcomings. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore Savannah, but the room showed signs of wear and lacked maintenance. Breakfast had great options but unfortunately included some stale items. Overall, the hotel has potential, but there are areas that really need attention to enhance the guest experience.

The room was cozy and comfortable, but I noticed some peeling wallpaper and a cracked bedpost. Maintenance could be improved.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though I was disappointed with the lack of a receipt when I checked out due to my booking method.

The hotel is perfectly situated for walking around historic Savannah, which was a huge plus for sightseeing.

Breakfast started off promising with a good selection, but some items were stale. It was a letdown given the expectations.

While the amenities included valet parking and a wine reception, the overall condition felt dated and in need of a refresh.

I had a lovely stay at Planters Inn on Reynolds Square. The location is just perfect for exploring Savannah, allowing easy walks to historic sites and fine restaurants. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, which made my experience even better. However, I did find the breakfast offerings to be average, and it could use some improvement.

Rooms

My room was nicely decorated and quiet, but it faced the parking garage, which did make it a bit noisy at times. I also noticed there was no fridge, which I had to request.

The staff was truly wonderful, especially Karen, the concierge, who was always helpful. They really made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

While the breakfast was plentiful, it felt a bit lacking in freshness. A few improvements could make it more enjoyable.

I stayed at Planters Inn On Reynolds Square and found the location fantastic for exploring Savannah on foot. However, the overall condition of the hotel was quite disappointing. The room was dusty and not well-maintained, with issues like peeling wallpaper and soft, uncomfortable beds. While the staff were friendly and the hotel had a beautiful lobby, I can't overlook the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. 🏨😔

My room had a view of the parking garage, which wasn't what I expected. It needed maintenance and was dusty upon arrival. The bathrooms were also in dire need of attention.
Service

The staff were friendly and helpful, sending welcome texts and offering suggestions. However, I felt a lack of warmth during check-in.
Location

The hotel's location is perfect for tourists, right in the center of town and close to many attractions. I loved that I could walk everywhere.
Dining

Breakfast was served in a windowless room, and while there was fresh fruit, the quality of the food left much to be desired. I expected better.
Facilities

The amenities could use a serious upgrade. There were housekeeping issues, and I never saw the floors vacuumed during my stay.

My stay at Planters Inn On Reynolds Square was good. It has a fantastic location near the historic district, making it easy to walk to all the attractions. While the breakfast was decent, it fell short of my expectations for a classic southern experience. Overall, the charming atmosphere and friendly staff made up for any shortcomings.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was clean and well-appointed, though I noticed it was on the smaller side. The lack of a view wasn't an issue for me, as I preferred to explore the city.
Service

The staff was incredibly warm and helpful. The concierge, Karen, was particularly good and made me feel right at home during the wine and cheese gathering.
Location

Planters Inn is perfectly situated for exploring Savannah; everything is within walking distance, including the fabulous Olde Pink House next door.
Dining

The breakfast, while above average, could be improved with more southern staples. The wine and cheese social in the evening was a lovely touch, though.
Facilities

While the hotel lacked daily housekeeping during my stay, I appreciated the complimentary ice water and cookies available in the lobby.
